Build a decision aid for a patient choosing between options for

   long it takes, what recovery looks like, what it might achieve,
   what could go wrong
3. Leave all probabilities as [INSERT LOCAL FIGURES] — do not
   supply statistics
4. Questions to help them clarify what matters most to them
5. A section for "things people in your situation often say" —
   the values, not the clinical facts
6. Space for them to record their questions and their leaning

- Present options neutrally — no option should read as the
  recommended one
- Include the option of deferring the decision where clinically
  reasonable
