Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information aiprompthandbook.com collects, why, and what control you have over it. The Service is operated by Phillip Wilson, a sole trader in Australia.
1. You can use most of the site anonymously
Browsing the library, filling in a template and downloading the result require no account and no personal information. Text you type into a template in this mode stays in your browser — it is not transmitted to or stored by us.
2. What we collect
If you create an account: your email address, and the content you choose to save — favourited books and prompts, saved filled prompts, projects, custom templates and reusable variables.
If you subscribe to Pro: a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status (plan, renewal date, whether it is cancelling). Card numbers are entered directly with Stripe — we never receive or store them.
Automatically: standard server and security logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or profiling of any kind.
3. Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. Clearing them signs you out.
4. Why we use it
- To provide the Service — signing you in and storing your saved work.
- To take payment and manage your subscription.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To keep the Service secure and diagnose faults.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website.
- Supabase — authentication and the database holding your saved work.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
These providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose information where required by law.
6. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account we remove your saved content. Some records — such as payment and tax records held by us or Stripe — must be retained for longer to meet legal obligations. Server logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis by our hosting provider.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your saved content is protected by row-level security so that it is accessible only to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant regulator if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to provide a copy of it. Email support@aiprompthandbook.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the UK/EU GDPR, including the right to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you (providing the Service and taking payment) and our legitimate interests (security and fault diagnosis).
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and we will give notice of material changes.
